Sustainable Development Goals
Take 3 is proud to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and do our part to build a better world. The SDGs are universal call to action. 17 interlinked goals were designed by the United Nations to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.” Below are the nine goals that align with Take 3’s work.
Take 3’s programs highlight the potential human health impacts of plastics in the environment and provide an overview of relevant research on the topic.
Take 3’s face-to-face and online programs have educated over 500,000 students around Australia, with the aim to reach one million by 2023.
Take 3’s programs and campaigns advocate for improved water quality and protection of our water ecosystems by reducing plastic consumption and removing plastic pollution.
Take 3 programs and campaigns advocate for a circular economy with improved efficiency in consumption and production to reduce plastic pollution and waste.
Take 3’s community engagement and events have engaged over 100,000 people around Australia and our educational programs/campaigns advocate for improved waste management.
Take 3 work with businesses, governments and corporations on production and source reduction initiatives that support the circular economy.
Take 3’s international campaigns have been actioned in 129 countries and actively reduces plastic pollution and its climate change impacts.
Take 3’s conservation campaign has protected marine animals by removing over 30 million pieces of rubbish from oceans.
Take 3’s partnerships with businesses, corporations, governments, NGOs and communities use collaboration as a catalyst for positive impacts.
