OCEAN CLASSROOM INITIATIVE
Take 3 for the Sea’s Ocean Classroom Initiative is your opportunity to make waves in the classroom! Designed with busy teachers in mind, this initiative simplifies the dive into pressing ocean issues like plastic pollution, climate change and marine conservation, and what we can all do to make a difference.
Using a train-the-trainer approach, we equip educators with detailed lesson plans, teaching guides, engaging resources and hands-on content—no extra prep needed!

Download our FREE online resources that explore ocean ecosystems, the global plastic pollution crisis and the power of individual action. Designed for delivery by teachers, the program sees students explore and strengthen their personal connections to the ocean.
The resources feature six visually-compelling short films that vividly illustrate the content, offering an inspiring exploration of key themes within Take 3 for the Sea’s education curricula. These themes include connection, the natural systems of the ocean, human impacts on marine environments, and solutions at individual, local, and global levels. Additionally, the program provides twelve meticulously-crafted lesson plans, developed in collaboration with Cool.org’s expert team, aligning seamlessly with the Australian school curriculum and supporting the cross-curriculum priorities: Sustainability, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures.
Elevate your students’ learning experience with our immersive and impactful incursions tailored for primary and secondary school classrooms. These engaging programs bring the wonders of the ocean directly into your educational space, fostering a deep connection to marine ecosystems. School incursions are available in the Greater Sydney and Greater Hunter Regions of NSW Australia, and the Greater Melbourne and Geelong Regions of VIC.
UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
Take 3 for the Sea is proud to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and do our part to build a better world. The SDGs are a universal call to action. The 17 interlinked goals were designed by the United Nations to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.” Our schools program aligns with these SDGs:
