Take 3 Appoints New CEO
Take 3 for the Sea’s Board of Directors has appointed Jacquie Riddell as the organisation’s new CEO.
Jacquie brings a wide-ranging and diverse set of experiences to her role at Take 3, with a focus on community engagement, not-for-profit governance and executive leadership. She was the Director of Public Engagement at the Art Gallery of NSW, where she oversaw all the public operations and functions of this large art museum. Previously she held executive leadership roles at Barangaroo, SBS, Foxtel, and the Triple J network.

She brings a wealth of knowledge of the not-for-profit sector, having worked both as a board director and alongside high-profile boards throughout her career. She is currently the President of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
On the appointment of Jacquie, Take 3 Chairman, Peter Janssen said, “Jacquie has impressive experience and is highly regarded for her inspiring leadership, strategic planning skills, and creative initiatives, all of which Take 3 will put to good use as we move towards the next phase helping to combat the rapidly growing plastic crisis. I would also like to express our enormous gratitude to Jenny-Lee Scharnboeck for stepping up and very ably holding the fort as Interim CEO since Sarah Beard’s departure in January.”
On her appointment as CEO, Jacquie said: “As a coastal resident and ocean lover, I see first hand the enormous and growing problem of plastic in the ocean. I feel compelled to offer my experience and skills to help address this global problem as CEO of Take 3. I look forward to building on the amazing work done so far to reduce the amount of plastic going into our oceans and ensure oceans are healthier now and for the future”.
