University student Mitchell Drover walked 1,000 kilometers from Melbourne to Newcastle to raise awareness about plastic pollution and support Take 3 for the Sea. Newcastle freediver Michaela Werner made history as the first woman to complete over 100 underwater laps in a 25m pool within one hour—swimming 2.5km underwater. Her incredible achievement raised $2,133 for Take 3 for the Sea, supporting the fight against plastic pollution through education and action! Michaela’s story showcases the power of individual action in protecting our oceans.
