Youth Leadership Program confirmed for primary school students
Following on from our successful Youth Leadership Program, Take 3 for the Sea is delighted to once again be partnering with SC Johnson to deliver a leadership program PROJECT BLUE for primary school students aged 9-12.
This five-week program commences on Tuesday August 17 and will include live webinars for the students with Take 3 educators and guest speakers. Each session will also be recorded for those unable to join on the day.
The program explores the journey of leadership through the ocean conservation lens and aims to develop young people into passionate, educated and self-determined young leaders who have the tools and knowledge they need to spark environmental change.
The Youth Leadership program is an extension of the online learning program that was developed in partnership with SC Johnson in 2020 and will integrate project-based learning materials with opportunities for personal development while preparing students for leadership.
The program is based on The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and 21st Century skills of problem solving, creativity, critical thinking, decision making and collaboration.
Youth Leadership Program Facilitator Annie Woollard said: “Our young people are enthusiastic, engaged and wanting to take action and I am excited to facilitate Project Blue for Take 3 .
“Primary School aged students will discover their own leadership qualities and learn that small actions create big impact.”
