The Take 3 Ocean Swim is a new, competitive ocean swim event at Umina Beach on the Central Coast, NSW. This is your opportunity to swim for a purpose and support an award-winning ocean conservation charity. The event is suitable for all levels of swimmers with 400m, 1km and 2km courses. The Ocean Swim event aims to spark a connection between the community and our precious oceans, while raising funds to support Take 3’s education programs in schools, surf clubs and communities. All entry fees go directly towards helping Take 3 achieve its mission to conserve the environment and protect wildlife from the impacts of plastic pollution and waste. Just by participating, all swimmers are contributing to a healthier ocean ecosystem! Take 3 is working closely with Umina Surf Life Saving club (SLSC) to deliver a safe experience for all. Umina SLSC will provide expert water safety and first aid to all participants on the day.

Entry conditions
Please read the entry conditions and race rules BEFORE registering for the Take 3 Ocean Swim.
Risk Warning (Section 5M Civil Liability Act 2002)
Warning is given to all entrants of Take 3 Ocean Swim that there is the risk of harm to their person and/or property arising from any inadequacy of physical condition or stamina to complete the swim, hazardous sea and beach conditions including sea currents and waves and the presence of sea craft and sea creatures and other hazards.
Wetsuit policy
Competitors must wear swimwear which conforms to FINA pool suit rules. For men this means swim suits shall not extend above the navel or below the knee. For women, swim suits shall not cover the neck or extend past the shoulders or below the knee.
Competitors who wish to compete in wetsuits, open water suits, buoyancy suits or other non-conforming suits may enter the fins and skins division.
Competitors who do not wear conforming swimwear in any division other than the Fins and Skins division will be subject to disqualification.
The exception to this item are entrants in the Fins n Skins division. Entrants in the Fins and Skins wave are permitted to swim The Take 3 Ocean Swim course utilising aids such as flippers and wetsuits. Aids other than flippers and wetsuits are to be allowed at the exclusive discretion of the Race Director or their delegated representative.
COVID-19 Guidelines
The Take 3 Ocean Swim will comply with current NSW Government guidelines and regulations. As these change regularly, the organisers will ensure that the event is subject to the current regulations on the day.
