Take 3 is proud to announce the inaugural Take 3 for the Sea Ocean Swim, to be held at Umina Beach, Central Coast, NSW on November 19, 2022. With distances to suit every ability and all registration fees donated to Take 3, this is an opportunity for the whole family to dive in and swim with purpose.
This ocean swim has something for everyone, with 400m, 1km and 2km courses on offer. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place swimmers for each distance. Additionally, a prize will be awarded to the swimmer who raises the most funds for Take 3*. All participants are guaranteed a safe experience with Umina SLSC providing water safety and first aid on the day.
The purpose of the Take 3 Ocean Swim, as explained by Take 3’s CEO, Jacquie Riddell “is to connect the community to our beautiful ocean and to raise funds to support Take 3. All entry fees and funds raised will go directly towards Take 3’s education and community programs that spread the word about the importance of conserving the environment and protecting wildlife from the impacts of plastic pollution and waste.”
After the event, take the time to enjoy the beautiful Central Coast of NSW. Umina Beach is a coastal village, just an 80 minute car ride from Sydney. The beach is suitable for kids of all ages with a large playground located behind the beach. With an eclectic array of cafes, restaurants and boutiques throughout the town, Umina Beach is a perfect family friendly slice of paradise and just one of the many small towns the Central Coast has to offer. The Central Coast has recently been declared a certified ECO Destination through Ecotourism Australia and with Bouddi National Park and Brisbane Water National Park both a short drive from Umina, there are plenty of breathtaking bushwalks, mountain biking trails and lookouts to explore. A huge thank you to the event sponsor Co Engineering!
Places are limited so register early to avoid disappointment:
*Swimmers are encouraged to raise funds for Take 3 when taking part in the Ocean Swim but fundraising is not a condition of entry.
